I believe communication is fundamental to every aspect of our lives, and yet not all children or young people develop this skill readily, and some people lose skills later in life.

I have helped children and young people with their speech, language and communication since 2003. I have also supported adults since 2006. This has given me a broad range of experiences, skills and knowledge, so the natural next step in 2016 was to set up in private practice.

I completed a Level 5 in Dyslexia in March 2023, which means I can identify and teach children with literacy needs, too.

I offer speech and language therapy services in assessment, diagnostics and therapy to children from preschool upwards, and dyslexia services in assessment and intervention to primary-age children.

Sessions can be provided within schools and other settings as well as in the home. I work closely with parents/families and staff because this has a more significant effect on a child/person's speech, language, and communication/literacy needs.

Having two children with dyslexia has given me first-hand experience of the demands families may face when helping a child/adult, so finding practical ways you can work on the goals to reinforce skills is a priority.
